Okun Koneistuspalvelu and the coronavirus pandemic
Coronavirus and COVID-19 disease have evolved into a global pandemic. The human and economic costs of the virus are huge and the global situational picture changes very rapidly.
Oku’s production continues to be stable
The coronavirus has so far caused no cuts in Oku’s production. We do everything we can to take care of our customers’ orders and of our security of supply. If any availability issues arise with regard to components or material, we will inform about the situation for the affected customers.
Implementation of investments has progressed as planned
In the end of last year, Oku communicated on new investments in machines and automation. The implementation of the investments has progressed as planned; 2-spindle multi-axe CNC lathe Mazak Hyper Quadrex 150MSY and 5-axe Tsugami CNC precision automatic lathe HS38M-5AX are already in production. We are currently installing a 5-axe Mazak Integrex i-200 ST lathe centre with a portal robot cell.
In addition to new investments, we have also implemented an almost new Tsugami BO38TE precision automatic lathe with a total of 11 programmable axes.
All above-mentioned machines are also suitable for unmanned production.
